GOD IS MY DELIVERER

As follows, you will read some statements that I have been gathering through twitter together with some quotes from The Bible.  I hope that you enjoy them and keep them in mind to overcome any adverse situation.  God bless you.

In every situation you are facing today, God is working for your good and His Glory. If you are having doubts, talk to a brother or sister in Christ but always ask God for help.

Faith in Jesus Christ has power to override our feelings, because they don't always lead us in the right direction.

God never told you to figure everything out. He told you to trust Him. He's already got it figured out!

God doesn't wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks. He causes then to line up because He speaks.

Give God your problems and allow Him to give you solutions.

Preserve (protect) me, Oh God: for in you, I put my trust. Psalm 16:1

If God brings you to it, He will help you through it.

Jesus said, "Whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you" - John 15:16.

When you listen to God’s Word and speak His truths over your life, you will see amazing growth as God continues to work in your life. Joel Osteen

My GOD is greater than my problems!

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11:28

God is with us. What can possibly be against us? God loves us and that is enough.

Why am I smiling today? Because I KNOW that GOD is already working on tomorrow.

Disappointments may come, disruptions may happen, but God has promised that what was meant harm you, He will use for your good!!!

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared. Proverbs 3:24-26

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. Psalm 55:22

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. Psalm 73:23

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Matthew 6:25

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28

When we commit ourselves to Jesus Christ, when we place Jesus at the center of our lives and trust Him as our personal Savior, we can share Christ’s joy.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."  Joshua 1:9

BECAUSE GOD IS IN CONTROL, WE HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.

SUCCESS REDEFINED

When you ask most of the people to define success or a successful person, immediately they link “success” to financial performance and/or fame.  Nevertheless, the real successful individuals are self-fulfilled and rarely their success is linked to their personal net worth. They perform as true leaders without blaming the world for their failures and they continue in their endeavors, taking full responsibility of their deeds.

As an example, as follows you will read some definitions of “Success” according to some people who are or were really successful in each of their fields and/or in their personal livelihood, who have in turn experienced failure in the process of being successful.  In most of the cases, the hard work, honesty and determination are emphasized and evident.  I hope you enjoy the following selection of quotes.

THE BASIS FOR GOOD COMMUNICATION: LISTEN, LISTEN!!!

Dear reader, a good friend of mine suggested that I should focus on a specific subject when gathering my preferred quotes.  I kindly accepted his suggestion.  This is the end result. This blog focuses on LISTENING as opposed to SPEAKING as the basis for good communication and successful relationships in both, your private life and in a business environment.

Considering that in many occasions during a conversation, we simply do not listen the other party as we are just thinking about our answer and/or defending ourselves, I have selected a number of quotes that pinpoint the importance of listening and the need to think before we speak. There is also the alternative to remain silent.

Sometimes, our silence is the best answer. And in any case, just for the sake of mutual respect, we should allow the other party to complete his/her statement before we answer and/or provide any explanation. It is to your own advantage to listen and to learn from others.

If we learn to listen (different from "hear"), there is a great chance that we can succeed in our daily communication and in our personal and professional development. I hope that you enjoy and learn from the following quotes.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.  Churchill

Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens. Jimi Hendrix

He who can take advice is sometimes superior to him who can give it.  Erica Jong

In all things, be willing to listen to people around you. None of us is really smart enough to go it alone.

Listening, not imitation, may be the sincerest form of flattery. Dr. Joyce Brothers

The Land of Opportunity is an attitude. It is an openness to new ideas, a willingness to listen, an eagerness to learn, a desire to grow, and the flexibility to change.
 BJ Gallagher

Focus on listening. Listening is a sign of respect…a demonstration that people and their ideas are important. When people know you're willing to listen, they will share their ideas as well as their frustrations. Listening enables you to build a foundation of trust that is essential to motivation. John Baldoni

Coaches have to watch for what they don't want to see and listen for what they don't want to hear.  John Madden

If people listened to themselves more often, they would talk less. Unknown.

Wise men are not always silent, but they know when to be. Unknown

Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.” Plato

In conclusion, in many occasions we don’t process/analyze what we say and we speak everything that we think without taking into account the implications from such words. I rather remain silent and learn from others and then react when appropriate.
